Attorney James P. Powderly is a graduate of New York University and Northeastern School of Law. Prior to establishing his private practice, Attorney Powderly worked in the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office, the Massachusetts Federal Defender's Office and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

Mr. Powderly devoted his practice exclusively to criminal defense. To date, Mr. Powderly has successfuly defended approximately 500 clients in courts throught Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Attorney Powderly is licensed to practice in the state of Rhode Island, the United States District Court of Rhode Island, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court of Massachusetts and is a member of the following organizations:
